A New Take on Venice Living
The second home in the Venice Modern Homes collection, Scandifornia Modern, brings a Nordic-inspired sensibility to Venice’s Milwood Historic Neighborhood. Located at 927 Marco Place (Lot 23), this residence balances warmth and minimalism, layering natural materials with light-filled interiors. The home was designed to maximize the 40 x 90 sqft lot while integrating seamlessly with its flanking neighbors, the Historic Modern and Farmhouse Modern homes

A carefully curated palette—including charred and bleached woods, matte black shiplap metal, black metallic brick, and smooth stucco—creates a striking yet inviting façade.
Expansive glass doors and seamless indoor-outdoor transitions connect the home to its lush surroundings, embracing the essence of California living. Outdoor amenities include a private lap pool with an automated cover, Arbor Wood decking, and a rooftop entertainment lounge with a built-in television and pre-plumbing for a barbecue—perfect for intimate gatherings or lively social events.

The enclosed motor court not only provides secure parking but also serves as a flexible outdoor living space, seamlessly blending form and function. Scandifornia Modern stands as a testament to the Venice Modern Homes collection’s vision—honoring history while pushing the boundaries of contemporary design.
Before the home took shape, Lot 22 and Lot 23 were partially occupied by a one-story craftsman bungalow. The design team worked closely with local agencies to relocate the front portion of the bungalow to its new permanent home on Lot 24. Together with Historic Modern on Lot 24 and Farmhouse Modern on Lot 22, Scandifornia Modern creates a cohesive vision—three distinct yet connected homes that honor Venice’s architectural past while embracing its future.
