Elegance and Efficiency

In 2016, Cedars-Sinai Health System purchased a 456,000 sq ft Class A office building designed by I.M.Pei and Luckman Partnership. Abramson Architects modernized the 17th floor to accommodate their purchasing, lab services, finance, and facilities departments. The non-clinical space introduces a soothing color palette and luxurious materials not typically associated with medical administration spaces.

Glimpses of the show-piece conference room are visible to guests as they enter the suite. This creates a visual connection with the highly public space and reinforces the intuitive circulation plan. A semi-translucent privacy film maintains the confidentiality of meeting attendees while allowing natural daylight to penetrate deep into the windowless lobby space.

The distribution of discussion areas and phone rooms throughout the suite allows easy access for members the four departments and their guests.

Opulent accents and high-performance materials provide a sense of continuity with slight variations providing individual identities for each of the four departments. Utilizing an open office plan leverages the compact space to the fullest.
