Kassie Hammerschmidt

Senior Interior Designer, Project Manager
“Every project is an opportunity to design spaces that help people heal."

Philosophy

With 10 years of experience in the A/E/C industry, Kassie has honed her expertise in healthcare design, particularly in creating spaces that foster healing and support mental health recovery. Her career began with an early fascination with design—sparked by childhood dreams of creating spaces like a trampoline room—before realizing that interior design could have a more meaningful focus. Today, she crafts functional exam rooms and patient areas that serve a deeper, life-changing purpose.

Kassie approaches every project with creativity and problem-solving in mind, using inspiration from various design sectors to shape thoughtful, responsive solutions. Her work reflects a dedication to improving the human experience, particularly in healthcare environments. A standout project for Kassie is the BeWell Orange Campus in Orange, CA, where her design supports individuals in their journey toward mental health and addiction recovery.

Tidbit

Kassie enjoys puzzles, board games, and Dungeons and Dragons, when she isn’t focused on work. She’s also an avid fan of hiking around Griffith Park while listening to whichever audiobook she is currently enjoying. She describes herself as an “indoor cat that needs to be taken on walks,” balancing her love of design with her love for the outdoors.
