Santa Monica Multi-Family
An Interesting Split
California Landmark Group’s 6-story development is a low-rise structure intended to respect the Century Glen community’s quiet charm. The transit-oriented community consists of over 100 units, including affordable housing units set aside for very low-income households. The primary building façade has been split into more human-scale components, creating open-air elevator lobbies that reinforce the visual connection between the streetscape and the lush terraces.
By breaking the massing into smaller volumes, the structure blends seamlessly with the larger Century City towers and the low-rise context. Recessed private balconies feature contrasting accent materials that add an air of whimsy to the exterior facade while casting dynamic shadows inside each of the units
The complex is slightly set back from the sidewalk to allow for continuous landscaping along the frontage. Generous rooftop terraces provide residents and their guests with uninterrupted views from the multiple outdoor amenities.
The community also includes a central courtyard, shared business center, fitness center, dedicated pet-wash stations, and a bicycle maintenance workshop.
