Dror Ram, AIA, LEED AP

Architect, Senior Associate

“Good design is not just about aesthetics but also function and finding a balance between the two”

Dror often goes back to what got him interested in architecture in the first place: the multidisciplinary balance between art, science, psychology, and sociology. Good design is not just about aesthetics but also function and finding a balance between the two.

Dror is a registered architect in the state of Illinois, where he previously spent six years with SMNG-A designing and managing elementary school projects for Chicago Public Schools. As part of the Design Architect team, he worked closely with Chicago’s Public Building Commission to develop conceptual plans and prototypes for over 15 elementary school projects, including both new construction and extensive additions. Dror also has considerable experience with housing, including private residences and multi-family affordable developments. Dror joined Abramson Architects in 2014 as a Project Architect. He is responsible for assembling construction documents and designing high-end residences, commercial projects, tenant improvements, and retail spaces.

Dror is a huge fan of animated cartoons. He loves the whimsy and the outlandish worlds he can create letting his imagination run wild. Sometimes he writes and draws cards for friends and family as a birthday treat, and he really enjoys the laugh that comes out of a good friend.
