“The complexity of quality architecture comes through a careful balance of ideas from the client, consultants, specialty fabricators, city officials, contractors and all other parties involved.”

Philosophy

Marco is driven by the collaborative nature of the architectural practice. He sees the complexity of quality architecture as a careful balance of ideas from the client, consultants, specialty fabricators, city officials, contractors and all other parties involved. With so many moving parts, Marco enjoys the push and pull that is the architectural journey.

Marco is a licensed Architect in the State of California and has previously practiced in Virginia, Massachusetts, and Pennsylvania. At Abramson Architects, he leads various project teams on ecclesiastical commissions, schools, movie theaters, urban retail centers, and creative workspaces. A few recent projects of note include the modernization and expansion of Valley Beth Shalom’s mission-driven campus, the dynamic “Brick & Machine” office and retail complex which bridges the historic Culver City charm with the city’s new contemporary commercial properties, and the conversion of underutilized industrial buildings in Downtown Los Angeles into an upcycled mixed-use environment.

Tidbit

Marco describes his house as an art studio in flux. As the father of a middle school daughter, he has been making and building doll houses, jewelry and toys with her since she was two. Now his daughter is writing, sketching, and designing her own independent creations. Along with his graphic designer wife, the family is constantly working on creative projects together and seeking out cultural opportunities in the city and beyond.
