Ji Won Nam

Project Manager

“Architecture should be first about its context and its role in the community”

Ji Won remembers the childhood thrill of imagining the possibility that one day, someone could physically experience a space she designed. This is still a driving force for her as a professional – creating architecture from ideas on paper and turning them into functional, immersive and interactive spaces. Ji Won approaches each project with an urban design bent, thinking first about its context and its role in the community, then the progression of spaces and how they unfold. She enjoys the new challenges that each project brings, specifically when early design thinking and process leads to a scheme that is entirely unexpected and new. Ji Won began her career as an Architectural Designer at Graft, where she worked on master planning projects and high density mixed-use projects. She then became a Senior Designer at Aedas, working on the Museum of Tolerance in Jerusalem. Ji Won joined Abramson Architects in 2016 as a Project Manager. She primarily leads project teams on commercial and mixed-use buildings.
