“Buildings can serve as a bridge between nature, culture and people acting as a positive force and inspiration in people’s lives.”

Philosophy

Guelsah, grew up in Germany in a Turkish family multicultural environment and was fortunate to have her mechanical engineer father’s design office as a playground. There she spent time cavorting among the tools and drafting tables of artists, designers and architects. She later discovered architecture provided her with the best platform to express her creativity to build environments that promote positive emotions.

Guelsah’s process values simplicity, efficiency, and harmony connecting her projects to the site while taking advantage of views, topography, existing structures, vegetation, the sun, all the while maintaining the needs of clients.

Experience

Guelsah previously worked for internationally recognized gmp architects von Gerkan, Marg und Partners in Hamburg Germany. In 2008 she moved to the U. S. and worked for the award-winning firm Ehrlich Yanai Rhee Chaney Architects. There her duties included work on high-profile commercial projects, residential project management and interior design.

Guelsah joined Abramson Architects in 2018 where she works on high-end residential projects. She approaches problem solving as a positive challenge and an opportunity for growth with the ability to thrive.
