A Minimalist Storefront for Premium Sportswear
The AA design team wanted Kilter’s first brick-and-mortar to mimic their minimal yet edgy approach to men’s and women’s sportswear. At 500 square feet, the space is able to feel voluminous with a simple palette and accessible flow. Recessed track lighting assists the abundant natural light that pours in from the glass storefront. The location is on the street level of the parking garage at PLATFORM, a mixed-use district also designed by Abramson Architects.
A statement display wall features birch woodwork and black framing for contrast. Polished concrete floors and clean white walls allow the details of the products to take focus. Succulent planting lends to the Southern California atmosphere.
